Jacob Holistic Healing

Meet Dr. Jacob

I am a Registered Nurse with a PhD in Nursing from the University of Michigan, certification in Hypnotherapy, and training in Healing Touch. My years in conventional health care included critical care, home care, and hospice nursing. While I fully appreciate and value conventional Western medicine, my travels to China and Peru and the study of eastern and indigenous medicines, have opened my eyes to the value of healing approaches from around the world. This inspired me to intensively study mind-body-spirit medicine, energy medicine, and nutritional healing.

In 2001, I was able to put all of my background and interests to use as I started and managed the Center for Integrative Medicine at Henry Ford Health System, where integrated techniques such as acupuncture and hypnosis are used in combination with conventional medicine to help people achieve maximal healing.

I left that administrative position for private practice because of my desire to help individuals and to teach about the value of an integrative approach to life, health, and healing.
