However, this “magic bullet” approach does not take into account all that we are learning about environmental factors which determine whether genes are activities or not. Epigenetics is teaching us that thoughts, stressors, nutrition, environmental exposures, sleep, exercise, and other lifestyle related factors play a more critical role in health than the genetics based approach would have us believe.
